Philippe Bouveret was born in 1960 in Melun. He is passionate about inventions and the search for movement. He studied under the Belgian sculptor Pol Bury. His sculptures are animated by physical and chemical principles (water, atmospheric pressure, heat, etc). At the age of 27, he met Jean Tinguely and participated in the construction of Le Cyclop, fixing the mirrors to its face with his wife Dorothée. Following Jean Tinguely's death, he participated in the work’s interior design.
